A new service called Embedded Instructional Designer is where faculty can visit with the Director of Online Learning and Instructional Technologies (Dr. Anna Catterson) on various topics at YOUR location. Anna will be available to answer your questions and give you suggestions on best practices when designing and developing online, blended/hybrid courses.

What kinds of questions?

Anna is an Instructional Designer which means, you should visit her for these things:

·         Course design questions including building a course map

• How to use Canvas
• Specific Canvas questions that you need help with
• Instructional Technologies to support learning outcomes, assignments, assessments, and active learning techniques
• Instructional resources – using OER content or other resources that you may be interested in.
• Research ideas and provide academic classroom support

Where & When?

Anna will be available weekly on these days and times for your specific department area. If you can’t come to a time for your department, feel free to stop by one of the other dates or send her an email at anna.catterson@heartland.edu.
