Rooted in research and analytics, ALEKS ensures improved student outcomes by fostering better preparation, increased motivation and knowledge retention. Your ALEKS Assignment

In the Canvas course you paired, you will now see a new Assignment labeled “ALEKS”. Select that link at any time to navigate to ALEKS.

Make sure to publish the assignment if it is not already published.

Grading with ALEKS

To enable automatic gradebook sync, access your ALEKS account and be sure the ALEKS class is paired with the correct Canvas course. Navigate to the Gradebook menu and select Gradebook Setup

Scroll down and locate the LMS Gradebook Sync section. Choose either “Do not synchronize ALEKS scores with your LMS gradebook” or “Automatically synchronize ALEKS scores with your LMS gradebook.” Then select Save.

To view the ALEKS Assignment in your Canvas Gradebook, select Grades from the menu on the left.

A column labeled with the name you gave the assignment (the ALEKS Assignment) will display.

The scores in the ALEKS column will automatically update with the Total scores from the ALEKS Gradebooks after you enable the automatic gradebook sync on the ALEKS Gradebook Setup page shown above.
