What a busy week in Canvasland at Heartland. We were excited to offer a full day of Canas training this week with Todd Simmons coming as our guest. I hope you were able to take advantage of that opportunity. If not, please know we have a robust schedule of events that you can still participate in. Remember, Blackboard will no longer be supported after December 31st. All courses will be taught in Canvas and need to be converted ASAP. If you have not yet made that transition, please let me know and I'm happy to assist.
On a lighter note, I've been asked for some help with providing some sort of color or graphics in the titles of assignments, discussions, pages or quizzes in Canvas. You can also add them into text headers for more graphic interest. Here is an example of a graphic added on a page name:
That blue icon is simply copied and pasted in the name of the title, when you are editing the page. There are various ways you can locate those icons but my ultimate favorite is Emojipedia - it's so much fun. So, it's Friday - why not give it a try? Do a search for an emoji on your topic, copy it and then paste it over on the title of your item in Canvs. Voila! Instant Canvas fun. =)
Have a great weekend!
