A few updates...

All -

First, thank you ALL for being so patient with me through this transition. I know you have had some questions and I want to take a minute to address those.

Canvas Commons Resources
I have shared a new Version 2, COVID-19, Student Resource Page. Please download and import this new page into all of your Canvas courses. Updates include library hours, online resources and information about the transition to all online for the rest of the semester. Information on how to download a Commons Page is found here.

Zoom
IT is still in the process of integrating single-sign-on (SSO) HOWEVER, Zoom has been integrated into Canvas and works great. Do use Zoom in Canvas, go to SETTINGS, click on NAVIGATION, and drag Zoom up to the top of the list. Be sure to save your changes. All students, faculty, and staff will have Zoom accounts. I did a few trainings this week and those recordings will be shared on this blog SOON, I hope by tomorrow. Until then, see these tutorials for help.

Evening Training
I have scheduled a few workshops in the evening hours this week and I STRONGLY encourage you to participate. These are being offered to provide you an opportunity to take F2F materials and put them directly into Canvas. They are slowing paced and provide an opportunity for some one-on-one questions. Please join me this evening at https://heartland.us/zoom/acatterson. We will start at 7:00 this evening and it will last 2 hours. In addition, I will be offering the same training tomorrow evening. Please share these opportunities with others, as you see fit.

Canvas Champions
Ten individuals have been identified as a Canvas Champion and I wanted to share their names with you:

  • Wayne Bass
  • Michelle Green
  • Manju Kishore
  • Janice Malak
  • Sharon MIgotsky
  • Tara Morris
  • Krista Tilford
  • Kim Travers
  • Stephanie Turner
These folks have been incredible to work with and I appreciate their time they are dedicating not only to their own classes but to yours as well. Please reach out, we're here to help.

I'll be sharing information on Step 2 this evening, identifying your course outcomes. Thanks again for your patience and support.

Take care,

Anna
