(IT Working From Home – Employee Portal page)Here is a link to some video tutorials on using Zoom. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206618765-Zoom-Video-TutorialsDr Anna Catterson is our training and support Zoom expert for use in instruction and in combination with Canvas.Lydia Cochran is our primary support person for any account related issues or struggles with activation. mailto:helpdesk@heartland.eduSome thoughts and feedback from our current campus use of Zoom for staff meetings include:(1) Avoid using cameras in potentially low-bandwidth situations. If a user has low bandwidth, a camera feed will potentially flood the line and contribute to a ‘choppy’ experience.(2) Emphasize the advantage of having a phone option to dial in rather than assuming to use the microphone on your computer. This provides the highest quality experience where voice quality may be the most valuable attribute of the experience.a. Phone dial-in: If using, please remember to mute your computer or you may create an echo or feedback loop in the conference.
I'll be sharing additional Zoom tips through the weekend, so stay tuned!
Take care,
Anna
